NEW DELHI: Raichur Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 28 parliamentary constituencies in Karnataka, is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. The Election Commission of India announced that the voting date for the Raichur Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 is May 7 (Phase 3), with the counting and results announcement scheduled for June 4.
Raichur Lok Sabha Constituency holds a significant position in Indian politics due to its diverse demographic and political influence. In the upcoming 2024 elections, Raja Amreshwar Naik from the Bharatiya Janata Party and G Kumar Naik from the Indian National Congress are the prominent candidates vying for the seat.
The 2019 General Assembly Elections in Raichur were closely contested, with a voter turnout of 57.89%. BJP candidate Raja Amareshwara Naik emerged victorious, securing 5,98,337 votes and defeating B V Naik of the INC, who received 4,80,621 votes. Raja Amareshwara Naik’s victory margin was 1,17,716 votes. As the 2024 elections approach, it will be interesting to examine the details of the Raichur Lok Sabha Seat and the political dynamics that will shape its outcome.
