It’s time for Jenna Ortega to head back to school as the second season of the hit web series, ‘Wednesday’ has officially gone on floors.
In a series of Instagram posts, the makers announced that filming of he new season officially commenced on Tuesday in Ireland. Along with the exciting announcement, the makers also released a series of photos of the young actors on the sets, hugging it out as they headed back to the corridors of Nevermore.

Netflix also released a trailer to announce the exciting lineup of actors for the upcoming instalment of the beloved series.

Jenna Ortega is set to reprise her role as Wednesday Addams, leading the ensemble cast that also includes Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo.
Returning cast members include Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer, alongside guest appearances by Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane.
Adding to the excitement was the addition of Steve Buscemi as a new series regular, along with Thandiwe Newton in a guest star role. Buscemi’s casting was exclusively reported by Variety on April 16, followed by Newton’s announcement a week later.

In a nod to the series’ iconic history, Christopher Lloyd, known for his portrayal of Uncle Fester in the ‘Addams Family’ films of the 1990s, will join the guest star lineup. This marks a reunion of sorts, as Lloyd’s former co-star Christina Ricci appeared in Season 1 as Marilyn Thornhill. Additionally, Gaten Matarazzo, who starred alongside Ortega in the recent ‘Scream’ film, will also make an appearance.
However, one person visibly absent from the cast announcement was Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe in Season 1. Hynes White faced allegations of sexual assault on social media in 2023, vehemently denying them as part of a “campaign of misinformation.”
According to creators and showrunners, this upcoming season will reportedly see ‘the entire Addams family’ enrolling in Nevermore Academy.
‘Wednesday’ made its debut in November 2022 and quickly became one of the most successful show releases. Despite delays in production, it remains a standout series for the streaming giant.
