Bengaluru couple’s ‘wild’ lap ride on Bajaj Pulsar in Bengaluru goes viral: Here’s what the Police did!

There has been a surge of cases involving youngsters performing dangerous stunts on Indian roads, risking their own lives along with other motorists. In one such recent incident, a couple from Bengaluru was spotted riding a motorcycle in a rather unique fashion. The video, filmed by a concerned citizen following in another vehicle, has gone viral on social media, highlighting safety concerns on roads.
As seen in the video, the man is riding a Bajaj Pulsar 220F with a woman seated on his lap in front. The woman can be seen precariously perched on the fuel tank while the man speeds down a flyover, blatantly disregarding traffic regulations. To make it worse, both of them were not wearing helmets, blatantly disregarding traffic rules.

After having encountered the viral video, the Bengaluru traffic police acted promptly and traced down the rider. The police department took to its X handle and informed that the motorcycle has been impounded and the person has been arrested by the Hebbal Traffic Police for reckless driving. “Hey thrill-seekers, the road isn’t a stage for stunts! Keep it safe for everyone, including yourselves. Let’s ride responsibly.” read the tweet.

This incident has further highlighted the recurring issues of reckless bike stunts on city streets. The police also urged the public to adhere to traffic rules and avoid such risky behavior. Recently, authorities have been cracking down on such incidents, frequently issuing hefty fines to the offenders.
