A 34-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times before being set on fire alive by her jilted lover barely a few metres from her home in Bihar‘s Katihar Tuesday. The woman died on the spot while the accused managed to flee, police said, reported.
Halchal Rai, 26, perpetrated the crime around 5.30am when the woman was on her way to a school in Pranpur where she worked as a ‘tola sevika’, police said.
