Due to local assembly, both SUVs attract significantly less import duty resulting in savings of 18-22 per cent. The top-of-the-line Range Rover Autobiography model is now dearer up to Rs 60 lakh whereas the Range Rover Sport sees a price cut of Rs 40 lakh. The locally produced Range Rover 3.0-litre HSE LWB diesel is priced at Rs 2.36 crore and the petrol Autobiography version is priced at Rs 2.6 crore (both prices ex-showroom). The much sportier Range Rover Sport is priced at 1.40 crore (ex-showroom).
The flagship Range Rover has three engine options – a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbo petrol which puts out 400hp and 550Nm of torque. The second option is the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel which puts out 350hp and 700Nm and a 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 with 530hp of power and 750Nm torque. All engines come paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels.
In terms of features the luxury SUV gets a 13.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, rear entertainment 11.4-inch touchscreens, a 35-speaker, 1,600W Meridian Signature Sound System with active noise cancellation, an 8-inch touchscreen controller that adjusts the rear seats, Cabin air purification, Digital LED’ headlights with DRLs, 3D Surround Camera system and more.
The Range Rover Sport is offered in two engine options – a 3.0-litre mild-hybrid straight-six which puts out 350hp and 700Nm and a 3.0-litre mild-hybrid straight-six turbo petrol which puts out 400hp and 550Nm. Both engines come paired with 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearboxes which send power to all four wheels.
Talking about the features in the Sport, it gets a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, 19 speakers Meridian system with 800W output, four-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 with adaptive off-road cruise control, and much more.
